Activities Offering

Many wonderful and one-of-a-kind special activities are being planned for attendees at the 2023 Angle Midwest Annual Meeting. All of the following activities will be available to members and their guests for an extra registration fee.  The activities are listed by the days they are offered.  All registrations for special events must be made in advance on the meeting registration form.  Meeting registration will open end of July.

Sunday, January 29


Kids Camp

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Special activities will be planned at the Sports Core for kids of all ages, freeing up parents to participate in their own activities. Morning or afternoon options are available. Kids will be split into their age group: 3-7, 8-12, 13-17.

Cardio Tennis / Intro to Pickleball 

8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Cardio Tennis is a class that will get you moving and your heart pumping while you improve your game. It is for all levels of play. Intro to Pickleball will teach you all the basic strokes and strategies necessary to play the game. This activity takes place at the Sports Core, which is part of Destination Kohler and can be reached by the complimentary shuttle bus.​

Introduction to rolling Sushi and Potstickers

10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Teaching the why’s and how’s to Sushi rice, with five main types of Sushi for beginners to order when going out. You will be taught to roll a California Roll hands on at your station.  The chef will talk about the different sides that come with sushi and will also have pre rolled sushi for you  along with potstickers, jasmine rice, soup and small salad for your meal. While eating Chef will then teach how to make a Philadelphia roll with a smoked salmon, a vegetable roll and a musubi. Next Yuuki will take over and teach how to make quick and easy vegetable potstickers with items you can buy at the supermarket.  Each guest will make six to go in their take home box with the sushi they made.

Harley-Davidson Museum Tour 

1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Take a journey along the road less traveled with Harley-Davidson!
From our humble beginnings in 1903 through our storied past and to its present-day triumphs and challenges.
The World’s Only Harley-Davidson Museum has something to offer everyone from our storied past in Racing and Military to Pop Culture over our 119 year of existence. Includes boxed lunch.

Sunburst Ski and Tubing Hill

1:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Reserve your spot on the chartered bus to Sunburst in Kewaskum where  you will be able to ski, snowboard, go tubing, rent all your equipment, and even take a ski lesson if you want to!  You will order your bus transportation from Angle Midwest, then purchase your tickets for Sunburst directly online through a personalized website.  There is a minimum reservation of 15 for each activity at Sunburst.

AboutGolf Simulator and TopGolf Gaming Challenges

1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
The complimentary shuttle service will take you to the Kohler Swing Studio located in the Shops at Woodlake.  Two AboutGolf simulators are available to play over 60 courses including Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run. The TopGolf Swing Suite experience boasts a variety of virtual games designed for people of all ages and skill levels to come together for playful competition. 

Pheasant Hunting

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Hunt upland game birds on more than 200 acres with one of our expert guides and well-trained dogs.  Different grasses and plantings, along with the surrounding river and woods, present a variety of hunting conditions.  Minimum release of six birds per field or three birds per hunter.  Activity fee includes individual hunt pass, guide, dog, pheasants, gun rental, and ammunition.

Museum Guided Tour

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
​The John Michael Kohler Arts Center preserves and exhibits artist-built environments and contemporary art.  In 2021, the center opened the Art Preserve, a satellite museum dedicated to art environments. More than a building, it is a platform for ongoing explorations and investigations into these environments, their makers, and the Arts Center’s role as their institutional steward.  ​

Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists History Presentation

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
History and Anecdotes of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists in collaboration with Mrs. Ann Kloehn, wife and daughter-in-law of former Angle Midwest Members Dr. John Kloehn and Dr. Silas J. Kloehn.  Join us in the Appley Theatre for this historical presentation. Light refreshments will be served.

Bread and Macaroon Baking

10:15 AM - 11:45 AM
Join our Destination Kohler Head Baker as he guides you on the process of baking a variety of breads and macaroons. Each attendee will leave with their very own sourdough starter! Alexandre joins us from France, bringing over seven years of bread and baking experience. He is passionate about teaching the bread history, techniques and sharing his wealth of knowledge through his Instagram (alexandredufaur).

Kohler Factory Tour

8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
The Industry in Action factory tour is for all who may be fascinated by the automated manufacturing of KOHLER® plumbing products. The tour tells the history behind the nation’s largest plumbing-ware manufacturer, and takes visitors through the pottery, brass, and foundry plants on the extensive Kohler campus. You will explore how Kohler creates everything from brass fixtures to vitreous china bathroom sinks and KOHLER enameled cast iron baths. You will also get a glimpse of the amazing and beautiful art created by artists who have participated in the innovative Arts/Industry program for more than 40 years.

Tennis/Pickle Ball Point Play

 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Join our Round Robin for some fun play with different people and formats. Prizes will be awarded! This activity takes place at the Sports Core, which is part of Destination Kohler and can be reached by the complimentary shuttle bus.​ 

Tour of American Orthodontics

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
As a group, we will tour the American Orthodontics headquarters in Sheboygan, following our scientific sessions.  AO is providing bus transportation, and we will provide you with a boxed lunch for the trip. We’ll spend time peeking behind the curtain of the largest, privately held orthodontic manufacturer in the world and learn how they craft precision brackets, bands, arch wires, elastics and more in a modern, clean, and bright state-of-the-art facility. Tennis/Pickleball Drills

 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Participate in a fun-filled drill working on tactics and techniques to improve your  game. It is for all levels of play. This activity takes place at the Sports Core, which is part of Destination Kohler and can be reached by the complimentary shuttle bus.​

AboutGolf Simulator and TopGolf Gaming Challenges

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Lambeau Field Hall of Fame

1:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Prepare yourself for an experience of a lifetime!  Have you ever wanted to touch a Green Bay Packers championship trophy? How about a game-worn jersey? Now is your chance! Join us for a Champions tour and access to the Hall of Fame in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  You’ll take a chartered bus to Green Bay and enjoy a box lunch along the way.  At the end of the day, you will enjoy a private meal on the 4th floor and, of course, shopping at the Packers Pro Shop!  

Ice Fishing Expedition

12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
You will travel 90 minutes north to Sturgeon Bay where you will learn the sport of ice fishing while enjoying a first-class experience! The bus leaves at 12:00 PM. The ice shanty is heated, so no need to worry about the cold temperatures.  Your gear is fully provided, and if you don’t know how to ice fish, a private guide can be assigned to you.  All the fish that is caught will be cooked and served during the expedition, and you will enjoy food and beverages on the bus ride to and from Sturgeon Bay.  This activity will be limited to the first 16 registrants.

Pasta Class

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
A semi hands on class featuring three common, easy to do pasta shapes. We will cover the basics of making pasta dough including a hands on tutorial on ingredients, mixing, kneading, and reasons why we allow the dough to rest. There will be three wines that will pair nicely with each pasta dish.

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Wine Tasting and Cheese Pairing

4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Held at The Winery Bar - This European-style wine cellar is filled with character, award-winning wines, spirits, cheeses and delicious small plates.  Located in the Immigrant restaurant, you will feel as if you’ve been transported back in time.
